Course description

You will study the following mandatory units as well as optional units confirmed at induction: * Introduction to communication in health social care or a children and young peoples setting. * Introduction to personal development in a health and social care or a children and young peoples setting. * Introduction to equality and inclusion in a health and social care or a children and young peoples setting. * Introduction to duty of care in a health and social care or a children and young peoples setting. * Principles of safeguarding and protection in health and social care. * The role of the health and social care worker. * Implementing a person-centred approach in health and social care. * Contributing to health and safety in health and social care. * Handling information in health and social care settings.

Entry requirements

You will need to be operating at, or above, level 1 for both English and Maths.

Assessment

You will be assessed by tasks set by CACHE for knowledge in the College and assessed in the work placement by an assessor.
