Course description

Get to grips with Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s settings with this hands on course.

Course content

This Level 1 qualification offers a basic knowledge and awareness of the types of provision in the Health, Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s sectors. This includes the roles played by workers – from principles and values through to health and safety and working with others. Candidates are assessed on coursework through a variety of methods.

3 Es at GCSE or a relevant entry level qualification, and a successful interview

For some courses clothing, equipment and registration fees may apply and will be payable to external companies. Only trips necessary to the successful completion of your course (compulsory trips) will be listed below, other trips and visits may be offered as part of your programme of study, these will be optional and fees will be collected throughout the duration of the course.

Future opportunities

Progression routes include CACHE Level 2 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care or BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care.
