Design & Technology: Product Design AS at Charles Darwin School

Course description

Product design covers a wide range of skills, materials and understanding but is firmly rooted in designing and making. Over the year we will investigate and deconstruct products, design and develop our own inventions and skilfully make a range of prototypes. All the above is evidenced in a portfolio. An exam tests the technical knowledge and design awareness

Entry requirements

Experience of a KS4 Design & Technology course (textiles, resistant materials, product design, systems and control, graphics, BTEC)

Future opportunities

A wealth of design-based university courses or practical skills and further training.You will build on existing skills and learn new making techniques.
