Photography A Level at De Aston School
Students will learn how to use a digital camera in automatic modes as well as in manual modes so having the ability to dictate shutter speeds, aperture settings and other manual functions. In addition to this they will look at existing photographers and discuss how and why they have taken images in the way they have in relation to things like composition and framing.
With these techniques in mind, the pupils will then be challenged to complete a research portfolio that will show the process they have gone through in order to shoot the image.
Special Features: The portfolio of work provides an excellent opportunity to demonstrate personal skill development.
5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English Language. A vocational qualification will be considered as an equivalent to a GCSE qualification provided that at least a Level 2 Merit has been achieved on the examination element of that course.
