Media (BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Creative Media Production at Trinity School

Course description

This course provides a mixture of exciting and challenging practical projects where you work to a set brief. You will be introduced to the skills required for media production, from original idea through to final product. You will gain knowledge and experience of working methods in television and film industries. The multi-media approach is used with the study of Broadcast Media, Advertising, Audio and e-Media. Work involves: Planning and presentation of work in a portfolio Personal research and study

The Edexcel BTEC Level 3 Certificate in Creative Media Production (Television and Film) is a 30-credit and 180 guided learning hour (GLH) qualification that consists of 2 mandatory units plus optional units that provide for a combined total of 30 credits (where at least 23 credits must be at Level 3 or above). This qualification is not designed to include credit from other QCF BTEC units.

Entry requirements

• 5 GCSE subjects with grades D/E or above. • GCSE subjects which help to prepare for BTEC Media Communication Studies are Geography, History, Product Design, English, Sociology, Performing Arts and Art. •
