Agricultural Engineering - Level 3 Extended Diploma at HARTPURY COLLEGE

Course description

An Agricultural Engineer services, diagnoses, repairs, tests, evaluates and provides technical support for customers and operators. With technology increasing in Land Based service sector there is a wide range of career opportunities for a skilled versatile engineer, this course is for people who have a keen interest in and understanding of Land Based industries, are practical with an enquiring mind and who want a varied working environment with current technology.

The broad topics covered on this course provide a tailored sound basis and an engaging programme of the key knowledge, and practical skills required appropriate for employment in Land Based service sector, and a nationally recognised qualification for entry and progression into and within the land Based service engineering industry as well as allied industries. 

Course content

Students will also study welding as part of their studies at Hartpury. If  successful you will gain an industry recognised qualification Level 1 City and Guilds in Mig and Arc Welding. 

Entry requirements

Five GCSEs at grade C or above including English Language and Maths

Financial information

Students under 19 on 31 August 2015 are free (full time courses only). Examination fees for main qualifications are also free.

Students aged 19 to 23 may need to pay tuition fees.  We may be able to waive your fees if you are unemployed and receiving Jobseekers Allowance, studying your first full level 2 qualification or level 3 qualification.

Students aged 24 and over.  You may need to pay for your course.
Educational visits charge: An annual £65 fee is payable for all students and covers the cost of outside visits, special speakers and a contribution to the cost of administration
