Art & Design Level 3 Extended Diploma at Hereford College of Arts

Course description

At the beginning of the course all specialist areas start with a common first year which gives you a grounding in skills such as generating ideas, drawing, problem solving, IT, and digital image making. It will also introduce you to a wide range of new skills such as printmaking, video, ceramics, photography, textiles, and working with different materials such as clay and metal.

In the second year, your elected specialist year, you will start to feel more confident about your own work and you will continue to develop your skills and understanding of the area you are most interested in. This is an important stage of the course as it often underpins your plans for the future. Tutors will encourage and guide you to work towards producing a professional standard portfolio of work and support your application for higher education.
