Initial Text Processing Award (Entry 3) - Entry Level at Hereward College

Course content

Initial Text Processing:   Production of memos, articles and letters.  Level 1 (Basic):   This course is designed for those wishing to develop their knowledge and skills to produce a variety of simple business documents such as letters, memos and articles.  Level 2 (Intermediate):   This course is a progression from Level 1. You will extend your word processing knowledge and skills to produce a variety of routine and specialist business documents.  Level 3 (Advanced):   This course is a progression from Level 2 for those who wish to extend their knowledge and skills to Advanced level.  You will produce a variety of complex/specialist documents.

Entry requirements

For Initial Text Processing and Level 1 you will need a reasonable level of communication and proof reading skills. For Levels 2 and 3, achievement of the previous level is recommended as each level builds on skills and knowledge learned.

Course work and/or exam or controlled tests

Career development opportunities or other IT qualifications.
