Course description

Why should I choose English Literature ?
English Literature is a subject which is highly regarded everywhere. There are many career opportunities for those of you that wish to pursue the subject at a higher level.
Students in the past have gone on to find careers in a wide range of fields, like publishing, teaching, advertising, human resources or management in various public and private organizations. There are also lots of opportunities for fur-ther study and academic work.

Literary Genres—The study of either Tragedy or Comedy (Exam assessment)
Texts and Genres—The study of either Crime or Political writing (Exam assessment)
Theory and Independence (Non—exam assessment)

Or

Love through the Ages—Exploration an study of a literary theme (Exam assessment)
Texts in shared contexts—The study of WW1 literature or Modern texts from 1945 onwards (Exam assessment)
Independent Critical Study: Texts across Time (non—exam assessment)

Entry requirements

C or above in English Literature
