Sport BTEC Level 2 Certificate at Hull College Group

Course description

Students will study a variety of sports, exercise and fitness related units.
Students will also be given the opportunity to undertake work experience in their chosen sector.

English and Maths GCSE/Functional skills will be embedded into the timetable, so that students have the opportunity to improve their level of qualification.

Learners are also provided with the opportunity to develop their performance in their chosen sport as part of the Academy: Boxing, Strength and Conditioning, Netball,
Basketball, Rugby, Football (girls & boys).

Entry requirements

Students should be working towards GCSEs at grades C and above


The methods of assessment will vary and include practical sessions, presentations and demonstrations.

Future opportunities

From the course many students progress on to the Level 3 Diploma in Sport where you are able to build on the units you have covered in Level 2.

The College is also fortunate to have an active Student Union which hosts an annual ‘Freshers’ Fair’ for students at the beginning of the Autumn term and organises social events throughout the year.

      Hull College students benefit from some of the best facilities in the country – and that’s official! Our most recent Ofsted report stated that the College has “outstanding specialist facilities”.
