Retail Skills Intermediate Apprenticeship at Weston College

Course description

Apprenticeships are all about learning on the job. You’ll spend most of your week with your employer learning retail skills as you work, and come to college from time to time. You will do a number of qualifications including the Level 2 in Retail Operations and a Technical Certificate. You will cover a number of units which could include: stock control, customer service, merchandising and sales skills.

Entry requirements

In order to do an intermediate apprenticeship you must have an employer to support you. We have a number of vacancies available every week and are able to help you find an employer though our free recruitment service


We will assess your practical skills and observe you at work. Your personal assessor will visit you at your workplace to review your progress and make sure you are on target to get your qualifications.

Future opportunities

Progress to:

  • Retail Operations, Advanced Apprenticeship
  • Business, BTEC Extended Diploma.
Job/career opportunities:

A career in retail or sales operations.
