Course content

This course is ideally suited to any students who
enjoy making beautiful artefacts in textiles.
Projects can be undertaken in Fashion, printed and /or dyed fabrics and materials, domestic textiles, wallpaper, interior design, constructed textiles and installed textiles

Entry requirements

C grade (higher level, not foundation) in any Design and Technology GCSE or equivalent GNVQ.


AS :
Unit 1.
50% of AS
Coursework portfolio.
Unit 2.
50% of AS
Externally set assignment.
A2 :
Unit 3.
Personal investigation.
25% of A level
Personal investigation supported by written element of 1000 - 3000 words.
Unit 4.
A2 externally set assignment
25% of A level.
