Site Carpentry Level 2 at Harrogate College

Course description

This course will focus on site carpentry, developing the skills from level one to a more advanced level.
The activities will cover structural carpentry including walls and floors and staircases.
The knowledge will focus on general building methods, estimating and site procedures.
You will also have the opportunity to go on trips to support your knowledge and understanding and broaden your student experience.

• Health and Safety
• Structural Carpentry
• Site Procedures
• 1st and 2nd Fix
• General Maintenance

Entry requirements

GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above or a willingness to work towards achieving these grades.

Future opportunities

Successful completion will allow students to progress to the level 3 Diploma which has 2 pathways of study.
Site Carpentry students will be expected to progress on to the 3rd year of the programme, or students can also progress onto an advanced Apprenticeship.
