Fitted Interiors (Bathroom & Kitchen) Diploma Level 2 at East Berkshire College

Course description

This course will teach you a range of skills required to build and install kitchens and bathrooms.

It is made up of 5 modules which include health and safety, fitting units and basic plumbing.

Entry requirements

  • 2 GCSE at grade D or above and ability to demonstrate a practical skills.
  • Alternatively you should have successfully completed the BTEC Level 1 Diploma in Construction and also a Level 1 in functional skills.
     

Assessment

As well as a hands on assessment there are on-line exams at the end of each unit.

Future opportunities

If you gain employment in the trade you can go on to study for an NVQ, alternatively you could go on to study site carpentry or plumbing subject to having the required entry criteria for your chosen course.

This could lead to a career as a kitchen/bathroom installer where you can then gain an NVQ2
