Performing & Production Arts (Drama) UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma at LeSoCo

Course description

Our Performing Arts study programmes are validated by University of the Arts (UAL).  Your drama training will include principles of acting, contemporary performance, classical performance, musical theatre, voice, physical theatre, improvisation and historical research. This programme also involves live performances for invited audiences in our dedicated 90 seater Tressillian Theatre and purpose built dance studios. You can expect to be involved in at least 3 performances each year plus our annual festival, schools tour and site specific performances around London.

Entry requirements

Four GCSEs at grades A*-C, one of which must be GCSE English or GCSE Mathematics. Alternativley Successfull completion of a substantial Level 2 qualification in a related subject may be accepted, and you will need to undertake an initial assessment that indicates an appropriate level of English and Mathematical ability. A statisfactory reference is also required.

Future opportunities

Successful completion of this course can lead to Higher Education opportunities at insitutions including Rose Bruford College, Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Italia Conti, Manchester and Goldsmiths Universities and RADA. You can also progress onto our HND in Performing Arts. Last year our graduating class of 22 students were offered 32 places in higher education. Currently 18 are on BA Hons degree courses including Shannon Johnson & Issy Konate studying BA in Theatre in Education at Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, Joel Parsons studying BA Hons Acting at MMU (Manchester), Charlotte Cox studying BA Hons America Theatre Studies at Rose Bruford and Damie Lemou studying BA HONS Drama & Theatre at the University of East Anglia.
