Chemistry - A2 at The Crest Academies
This course builds on the work done at AS level. Students’ understanding of Chemistry ideas and their application to a variety of contexts is deepened. This course will be taught in 6 lessons per week. Some of the time will be set aside for practical work. Practical skills will be developed and assessed in these lessons. Homework will be set weekly and is an essential part of the course. Mock exams will take place every half term. Students will sit Unit F324 in January, 2013 and F325 in the summer of 2013.
A minimum ‘D’ pass is preferred at AS Chemistry. Students will require slightly more advanced mathematical skills.
It is important to note that written communication will be assessed in students’s written work.
