Applied ICT at Thomas Adams School
The course aims to produce effective ICT users who can select and use appropriate ICT tools and techniques to help them carry out investigations, capture and handle data, solve problems, present and communicate information and make decisions. Students must be prepared to spend time outside the classroom reading around the subject. As four of the six units covered are coursework based it is important students manage their time wisely throughout the two years to ensure they keep on track with the coursework requirements.
5 GCSEs at C grade or above including ICT, English and Mathematics.
A keen interest is required in modern computing and how ICT tools can be used to solve problems.
