German Edexcel Advanced GCE at Chiswick School

Course description

You will study a wide variety of topics all of which have something to do with German speaking countries. There will also be time for you to study culture – film, music, the arts and some literature (short stories, poems, extracts from plays or novels). Classes are taught mainly in the target language. We also have dedicated Foreign Language Assistants who will work with you on a one-to-one basis outside of lessons. In the oral exams and coursework you will have the opportunity to research and evaluate topic areas that are of particular interest to you. This will enable you to further your existing cultural knowledge. At A2 level you will study: Unit 3: Understanding and Spoken Response in the Foreign Language Unit 4: Research, Understanding and Written response in the Foreign Language
