General Studies at All Saints School

Course description

General Studies is not ‘A’ Level Trivial Pursuit’ but it ‘enriches’ the curriculum with knowledge and understanding in all areas about which an intelligent individual should know. It is a course designed for all students on advanced programmes, which extends and complements all other subjects.

All Universities give credit to applicants for a competent General Studies result which makes meeting entry requirements considerably easier, and increasingly some universities include General Studies in student’s UCAS point score.

Some of the General Studies content is delivered through General RE. The converse also applies.

General Studies is an enjoyable and beneficial course, which considerably broadens a student’s outlook and personality.
