Entry requirements

4 GCSEs grade A*-C including one science based subject, BTEC First Diploma in a science based subject, appropriate related NVQ Level 2 or Intermediate qualification. All applicants will require a GCSE in English and Maths grade A*-C or equivalent. You will have a pre-induction interview/assessment to make sure this is the right level for you.

Assessment

BTEC Diploma/Extended Diplomas are assessed through continuous course work assessments. These assessments will be carried out through a variety of formats, ranging from practical assessment and presentations, through to written assignments and reports.

Future opportunities

This Level 3 course can enable entry to Higher Education on a related qualification, or will increase employment prospects in the science based industries.

Further information

The BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma is a vocational qualification which is recognised by employers for the skills it provides in a specific subject area and is accepted by colleges and universities as equivalent to three A-Levels.
