Course description



Outline of the Course:

In Yr 12 the students cover the syllabus in a very practical manner, which allows them many more opportunities to develop their understanding of the subject.  This approach means that they are able to create a piece of coursework in Year 13, which is innovative and exciting to develop.

Entry requirements

Minimum entry criteria:

Guarantees a place on the course: 7 in Computer Science and 6 in Maths

May be accepted on the course: 6 in Computer Science and 6 in Maths

Where can this course take me?

Computing allows you to work through problem solving and has numerous practical uses, in all areas of industry, leisure, finance etc.

Many Universities offer Computing as a separate degree or in combination with other subjects, so the choice of where to go after A-Level is very wide.

Other Subjects.

Obvious combinations such as Physics and Maths make a good ‘package’ but the Arts also fit with Computing.
