Drama & Theatre Studies A Level at The Knights Templar School

Course description

The Drama Department is a thriving and creative community and we welcome you to consider the Drama and Theatre Studies A Level. The course aims to widen the student’s experience of plays, through practical work, seeing productions and studying texts. Students will work together on group projects and apply the theory they have learned to their practical work.

Students are taken on at least five theatre trips during the year, which directly link to their assessment in the form of evaluating live theatre. These trips are always greatly rewarding experiences for students.

Drama and Theatre Studies A Level appeals to a wide range of students because they will develop vital skills in research, analysis and communication that fully prepares them for employment and further study in the creative/performing arts and beyond. Former students have successfully gained places in prestigious Drama Schools as well as pursuing academic theatre studies at university.
