Diploma in IT Level 2 ( HARDWARE) at CCP Graduate School

Course description

The 60-credit Level 2 Diploma offers a specialist qualification that focuses on particular aspects of employment within the ICT sector. There is potential for the qualification to prepare learners for employment in the appropriate vocational sector and it is suitable for those who have decided that they wish to enter a particular area of work. It is broadly equivalent to four GCSEs.

 Learners can specialise in IT Hardware by taking the following units;

Mandatory units (20 credits)

  • Unit 1: Communicating in the IT Industry (5 credits)
  • Unit 2: Working in the IT Industry (5 credits)
  • Unit 3: Computer Systems (10 credits)

 

Optional units (40 credits)

  • Unit 7: Installing Computer Hardware (10 credits)
  • Unit 10: Setting up an IT Network (10 credits)
  • Unit 11: IT Security (10 credits)
  • Unit 12: IT Support (10 credits)
