A Level French at Merchants’ Academy

Course description

Why should I choose French?

French is a native language for over 380 million people in Europe, Africa and North America. France has the 5th largest economy in the world, and is the wealthiest country in Europe in terms of total household wealth. Confidence in French opens the door to an enormous range of professional, social and cultural opportunities. And in October 2013 French was officially voted World’s Sexiest Language…

AS and A2 languages qualifications are amongst the most highly regarded by universities when considering applicants.

Languages degrees are in the top 5 degrees nationally in terms of graduate employment prospects. AS and A2 lessons offer excellent variety, and differ greatly from other subjects.

Much smaller classes than at GCSE level means more teacher time, more speaking opportunities, more support, faster progress.
