Business Administration Advanced Apprenticeship Diploma Work based at Eastleigh College

Course description

This qualification will allow learners to develop employability skills which are essential for working in a business and administration environment such as communication skills, working with others and managing and prioritising own work.

There is a wide range of optional units covering different administrative areas such as producing documents, managing information, or arranging meetings or events. There are also several optional units in specialist areas such as parking administration and legal administration which allows learners to chose options according to their own work role.

Course content

Mandatory Units:

  • Manage own Professional development within an organisation
  • Evaluate and improve own performance in a Business Environment
  • Work in a Business Environment
  • Communicate in a Business environment

Optional units include

  • producing documents
  • managing information
  • arranging meetings or events.

Optional units in specialist areas

  • parking administration
  • legal administration

Other parts of the Apprenticeship Framework include:

  • Technical Certificate - multiple choice exams
  • Functional skills Math, English and ICT at level 2
  • Employers Right and Responsibilities: a workbook

Entry requirements

There are no entry requirements for this pathway in addition to the general framework entry requirements.

However, it is likely that advanced apprentices will have some prior experience in a managerial or team leader role to allow them to complete the advanced apprenticeship, although this is not a formal requirement.

Assessment

Once you have enrolled onto the programme you will be assigned an assessor that will visit you in the workplace regularly.

They will complete assessment plans and reviews with you to keep you on target.

They will support you in the collection of the required evidence needed for your qualification through different assessment methods such as; professional discussion, observations, written questions, verbal questions, witness statements and any assignments.

Future opportunities

Learners can progress to the Advanced Apprenticeship in Business Administration or Intermediate Apprenticeship in Team Leading
