Hospitality with Events Level 3 BTEC 90-Credit Diploma at Walsall College

Course description

This Hospitality course can provide students who have the passion, focus and desire to work in an ever changing and vibrant industry, with an internationally recognised skill set to help them achieve their career goals.

This course explores the wide variety of services provided by hospitality organisations, whilst offering a thorough introduction to the skills required for success in the industry, such as customer service, events organisation, marketing in hospitality and finance.

The qualification develops a supervisory focus to enable students to manage food and beverage outlets; with a holistic business approach.

Entry requirements

You will require 4 GCSEs at grade D or above (preferably including English and/ or maths) or an appropriate equivalent, such as BTEC First Diploma Hospitality. School applicants will need to have a good school report and references. College initial assessment at Level 1 for Literacy and Numeracy

Students will be required to purchase a front of house uniform from the college.

Assessment

Summative written assignments, presentations, project work and practical assignments

Future opportunities

Successful completion of Level 3 can lead to the Level 4 Higher National Certificate in Hospitality Management (Pearson), availible at Walsall College
