Baccalaureate AQA at Tech City College

Course description

The AQA Baccalaureate is a specialist curriculum programme that helps you stand out amongst university applicants by enhancing your knowledge and skills beyond normal academic study. With it you can earn up to 550 UCAS points. Alongside the A-level subjects you choose, the AQA Baccalaureate helps equip you with a broader range of life and academic skills.

Entry requirements

A minimum of five GCSEs at grade C or above.

You will be assessed through your A-level and EPQ grades and completion of your enrichment activities as set out in your agreed plan. The AQA Baccalaureate is awarded with a pass, merit or distinction.

Future opportunities

The AQA Baccalaureate will provide you with a range of skills that universities have identified as important, and which are highly valued by employers. These include independent learning, community spirit, leadership and work-related skills. You will also receive a record of your extracurricular achievements to include in UCAS personal statements and discuss at interviews. It is therefore a useful qualification to have, whatever field of study or employment you want to pursue.
