Level 3 in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care at Leeds City College
If you would like to work in Adult Social Care then this course will prepare you for work in the sector by developing your knowledge of the duty of care, role of a professional in the care sector and the skills involved to fulfill these.
You will gain work experience through placement opportunities in adult care settings. You will study an extra qualification in prevention and control of infection, to support your professional progression.
You will learn through taught classes, activities, visits and work experience.

You will need 4 GCSEs at grade C or above including English and Maths or equivalent (L2 Functional Skills). Maths at D grade would be considered if you have 4 other Cs.
You will be assessed through your course work and work placement
You will receive advice on careers and further study during your course. After successful completion of the course you can choose to:
Apply for an apprenticeship or traineeship in Health and Social Care/Clinical Support Work.
Apply for a level 3 course in Health and Social Care or Childcare.
Apply for other level 3 courses.
