Entry requirements

  • supervisory skills including team leadership and development
  • planning and delivering hospitality events
  • supervising the beverage service
  • gastronomy and the dining experience
  • health and safety and food safety
  • maths and English

Assessment

  • Professional Food and Beverage Service Level 2 Certicate, maths at grade four or above and English at grade four or above, or equivalent
  • successful attendance at interview event and satisfactory references
  • you will be asked to provide evidence of your ability in the subject in the form of a practical test

    • September 2014 sees the grand unveiling of a new £45 million Thurrock Campus in Grays which will include restaurants, health facilities, shops and an advice centre. There will also be specialist workshop and studio spaces linked to courses for technology, media and creative arts, and facilities for art, design, logistics, engineering and IT courses.

      There will also be key areas available for public and community use. Hair and beauty salons, a restaurant and coffee shop will also be open to the public and are destined to breathe new life back into Grays.
