Art and Design - 3d Interior and Graphic Design BTEC Diploma Level 2 at Kensington and Chelsea College
Are you 16 – 18 and a practical person, interested in a career in Art and Design?
This is a three day a week hands-on course with projects that mirror industry where you will initially have a go at different subjects and then be able to specialise in your chosen area, with the emphasis on learning lots of practical skills, exploring ideas, being creative, and discovering what other artists and designers are doing now and in the past. You will be based in our specialist workshops and studios, equipped to industry standards, and taught by experienced professionals. In addition you will get all the basic stuff you need, like Maths and English, career advice and preparation for work, taught especially so that it is relevant to you as an emerging professional artist/designer/maker.
You will study:
- Drawing and Design – using a variety of media
- Graphic Design
- Interior Design
- Functional skills – English, Maths and ICT
- Visits to museums
As part of your learning experience and study programme, learners aged under 19 who don’t have English & Maths GCSE at A-C will be required to undertake this either at Functional skills level or GCSE level.
If you complete this course you can progress onto Level 3 and prepare your portfolio for university or apply for one of the many jobs in the art and design industry.
