Course description

Entry requirements

At least Grade C in the theory component of PE to enter the AS course. For students entering with a Grade C there will be a review at the end of the AS to decide whether progress to As is a viable option.

Future opportunities

You could take this course to complement other advanced level courses such as Science or to prepare for the A2 part of an Advanced GCE in Sport and Physical Education, which could lead onto higher education in areas of Sport Studies, Recreation, Exercise and Science or more general higher education courses. With further training you could go into a job related to Sport and Physical Education such as a Physiotherapist, Teacher, Exercise or Fitness Trainer. You could also go straight into a job as the AS GCE is a recognised qualification that will help you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers across lots of industries are looking for, especially in the sporting and health sectors.
