Business Studies (BTEC Diploma Double Award) at Roundhay School All through education from 4 to 18
The Diploma is designed to be the substantive part of a 16–19 study programme for learners who want a strong core of sector study. This programme may include other BTEC Nationals or A Levels to support progression to higher education courses in business before entering employment. The additional qualification(s) studied allow learners either to give breadth to their study programme by choosing a contrasting subject, or to give it more focus by choosing a complementary subject. This qualification can also be used to progress to Higher Apprenticeships.

General entry requirement:
Students should achieve GCSE grade 5 in English Language and Mathematics plus 3 further GCSE grades 9-4 (or grade C in non-reformed qualifications) AND meet the individual subject specific requirements.
Plus Business GCSE grade 4 or BTEC Merit if taken at GCSE
Assessment is specifically designed to fit the purpose and objective of the qualification. It includes a range of assessment types and styles suited to vocational qualifications. There are three main forms of assessment that you need to be aware of: external, internal and synoptic.
There are not costs associated with this course
For those who may wish to pursue a career in areas of business, the course will provide you with the essential skills that are highly respected in any field of work. You may chose to study at university level in related areas. An alternative would be to go straight into work in a business or related field
