Photography A Level at Harlow College
Photography is so much more than point and click! It opens up a whole world of creative expression and gives you the opportunity to comment on contemporary issues. This course offers you the opportunity to explore the exciting world of photography by doing practical projects as well as researching the work of existing photographers, in a combination of practical and written work. It's completely digital and will give you the opportunity to be very creative and produce lots of stunning images.
- Unit 1 – ARTF1, coursework portfolio describing the visual world.
- Unit 2 – ARTF2, externally set assignment.
- Unit 3 – ARTF3, personal investigation using photographic techniques to represent both time and movement.
- Unit 4 – ARTF4, externally set assignment.
7 GCSEs Grades A* - C with an average points score of 45, plus GCSE in an art-based subject at grade B or above.
Exams and coursework
Stationery and some students will choose to buy their own camera
Every year several students continue their study of photography at university, either as a single subject degree or as part of a wider degree such as Media or Marketing.
