Creative Futures Programme Level 1 at Abingdon and Witney College
This course offers you the chance to try all sorts of different types of creative subjects to see which you enjoy the most. The course content includes photography, graphic design, sound and lighting effects, character design, costume and special effects makeup, music video and animation.
This course is a superb platform to start your journey into visual and performing arts, media and music technology. You will try a new subject every half term to develop new creative and technical skills to find out what youâre best at. We will listen to your life plans and help you move neatly onto the next step of your career. The course is structured so that you can aim to move on to a Level 2 course, a traineeship, apprenticeship or work. The work you do will be linked to real life projects in college and the community. Students are encouraged to display their work, enter competitions and be enterprising. Your maths and English skills will be developed at the right level for you. This will improve your chances of progression into employment and to the next level of education.
3 Es at GCSE or a relevant entry level qualification, and a successful interview
The fees shown below are those charged in 2015/16 and may be subject to increase for 2016/17. For some courses clothing, equipment and registration fees may apply and will be payable to external companies. Only trips necessary to the successful completion of your course (compulsory trips) will be listed below, other trips and visits may be offered as part of your programme of study, these will be optional and fees will be collected throughout the duration of the course.
Students can progress onto Level 2 courses in Art & Design, Creative Digital Media, Creative Production, Performance & Production, a traineeship or apprenticeship or employment.
