Course description

If you have a genuine interest in the theoretical aspects of ICT you will learn about the importance of information, how and why it is used, and then relate it to your own use in the home, education, business and health care. You will also look at the social impact of ICT, from laws and legislation to its uses and abuses, for example social networking.

Entry requirements

  • At least 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C across a range of subject areas, including English Language and Maths

You may be advised to retake GCSE Science, depending on your chosen career.

Assessment

The course is assessed by written exams at the end of the course, coursework in the first year and a project in the second year.
