Religous Studies A Level at Ysgol Gyfun Penweddig

Course description

- The subject offers the student an opportunity to develop an interest and enthusiasm for the study of religion, and helps them develop an enquiring, critical and empathetic view on moral issues.
- Pupils who have studied the subject have studied the subject in Universities in Wales, England and Scotland.
- Other students who have studied A Level have studied other subjects at Cambridge and Oxford.
- Many past students have succeeded in the education sector, the medical profession and the legal profession.

Future opportunities

- You can continue to study the subject for a University degree. Even if you do not, what you have learnt will help you in a wide range of other subjects.
- Religious Studies can be studied in many different colleges in Wales and England. Cardiff, Bangor and the University of St David’s Trinity offer a wide range of courses.
- Courses such as Ethics, Philosophy of Religion, Philosophy, the Law, World Religions, Christianity, Theology, Religion and the Media may be studied at a degree level.
