AS Level Modern Foreign Language: French at Erasmus Darwin Academy

Course description

Students study a variety of topics including young people today, family and relationships, rights and responsibilities, leisure, healthy living, education, jobs and careers, media, environment, immigration and the French speaking world. These topics are covered in the context of the country or countries of the language being studied.

Future opportunities

You could take this course to complement other advanced level course or to prepare for the A2 part of an Advanced GCE in French, which could lead onto higher education in French, Languages or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to French or Languages such as a Teacher, Translator, or you may wish to use your French to study or work over in France. You could also go straight into a job as the AS GCE is a recognised qualification that will help you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers across lots of industries are looking for, especially in the travel and tourism sector.
