Music Level 3 at North Hykeham Joint Sixth form

Course description

The course is organised around three main areas of study; performing, composing and listening, just as at GCSE level. It is a good combination of internally assessed coursework, externally assessed coursework and examinations. It will allow you to develop your skills as a musician by performing regularly, composing (in different styles and for different instruments) and listening to and analysing music. This course will attract students who are interested in continuing their performing, composing and listening skills from GCSE. It is an expectation of the exam board that students are approximately grade 5 standard in practical and theory in order to achieve well.
