Health and Social Care Apprenticeship Level 2 at The College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London

Course description

An Apprenticeship enables you to develop a portfolio of qualifications whilst working in a Health & social environment. Working in Health and Social Care is extremely rewarding. Supporting individuals to manage and develop their life, offers a sense of achievement. Social care is about helping people with particular needs, such as people with disabilities, learning difficulties and older people. As an apprentice in Health and Social Care, you could be a care assistant, support worker or health care assistant helping individuals in their everyday life.

This qualification will demonstrate that you are occupationally competent in your chosen Health & social Care area.

Course content

You will have a mixture of group activities, discussions some lectures and practical activities.

Entry requirements

A minimum 2 GCSEs at Grade C in academic subjects and a successful interview.

Assessment

The qualification will be assessed by a variety of methods including taught sessions at college for one day a week and observations within the workplace.

Future opportunities

Learners can progress on to Level 3 NVQ Apprenticeships in Health and Social Care if they have already secured and commenced a job role as a team leader/supervisor in the care sector.
