Retail Apprentice at Halfords Ltd

Course description

Traineeships prepare young people like you for the world of work, giving you a wide range of employability skills you will need to be successful in the workplace. The duration of this Traineeship Programme is approximately 8 weeks and consists of a mixture of classroom based learning, and a minimum of 100 hours work experience at a Halfords store. You will gain Level 1 qualifications in Retail and Employability Skills, which are linked with Halfords internal training tool 'Gears', as well as offered support to improve your maths and English. The Traineeship is focussed around Halfords core value "Think Customer" and covers training in equality and diversity. For successful candidates who complete their Traineeship there is a real opportunity to gain a permanent job at Halfords and continue your learning and development with an Intermediate Apprenticeship in Retail.

The Halfords Apprenticeship 

Once you have successfully completed your Traineeship and been appointed as a Halfords Colleague, you will begin your Halfords Apprenticeship. This is a series of e-learning and face to face training modules that enable you to provide the very best "Friendly Expertise" to every customer. You will complete the training, which we call our "Gears 1 & 2", over a period of twelve months, covering all aspects of the Halfords Customer offer and will also enable you to complete your Level 2 qualification in Retail. Throughout the apprenticeship, you will be supported by your Manager and colleagues in store, together with our team of Apprenticeship Assessors, to make sure you are able to perform at your very best and enjoy your exciting career at Halfords. 

Entry requirements

You must be aged between 17-24 to be eligible for a Halfords Traineeship and working less than 16 hours a week. 
Additional eligibility checks will be required.
