Religious Studies: Philosophy and Ethics *FEES PAYABLE* at Akeley Wood Senior School

Course description

Philosophy of Religion asks students to consider and evaluate traditional arguments for the existence of God as well as understanding arguments from experience and postmodern responses to such claims. At A2 it considers further arguments, the use of religious language and the problem of evil and life after death. The Ethics module (AS only) looks at established ethical theories before applying them to abortion, euthanasia.

Entry requirements

There is no requirement to have taken Religious Studies at GCSE level. However the course does require a substantial amount of essay writing and therefore communication and literacy skills equivalent to a grade C in English at GCSE are recommended.
