Mathematics (Further) A-level at The Netherhall School and Sixth Form Centre
There are four exams to complete at the end of the course. Two of the exams are on Pure Maths and the other two are applied modules.
The minimum requirement is 7 GCSE or equivalent passes at either grades 9-4 or grades A*-C in an appropriate range of subjects, including English at grade 4 or above.
The college will accept one BTEC at Merit level as one GCSE equivalent.
Further Maths – requires a GCSE grade 7 or above in Maths.
You could take this course with an Advanced GCE in Mathematics to support entry to higher education in Mathematics related areas such as Electronics, Economics, Physics or more general higher education courses. With further training, you could go into a job related to Mathematics such as an Accountant, Engineer or Financial Adviser. This course also helps you develop the skills, understanding and knowledge that many employers across lots of industries are looking for, especially in the economic and engineering sectors.
