Biology at Richard Hale School
Awarding Body: AQA
What students can expect of the course AS/A2 Biology builds on the approaches to studying physiology and ecology at GCSE. AS investigative and practical work assesses practical skills, together with displaying data and evaluating techniques and results. The work in A2 includes the statistical analysis of results. Students will have opportunities to develop practical skills, and hone them as they progress. Students are supported in developing appropriate study styles (eg with note taking), in selecting relevant reading material, in developing the skills of question answering and statistical analysis.
