Beauty - Nail Services Apprenticeship Level 2 (HAB1) at Barnsley College

Course description

The Nail Services Apprenticeship enables you to gain practical skills, in manicure, pedicure and nail art. Alongside the practical units you will study anatomy and physiology, reception duties, health and safety and business units, and Functional Skills.

Course content

Course themes:

• Promoting additional services or products to clients

• Carrying out nail art services

• Applying and maintain nail enhancements to create a natural finish

Entry requirements

3 GCSEs at grade A* to D including English at grade 4/C or above is preferred OR Level 1 NVQ in Beauty Therapy and Level 1 Functional Skills in English PLUS secured employment in nail services.**

Assessment

You will be assessed by your assessor using a portfolio of evidence, practical demonstrations and assignments. You will be assessed both in College and in your place of work.

Upon completion you could progress onto the Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship in Nail Services or apply for job roles including:
