Site Carpentry Level 3 at East Kent College
Perfect if you want to learn more advanced carpentry skills to give you the extra edge when seeking employment.
You’ll learn advanced skills used in the carpentry industry such as installing skirting boards, door surrounds, cupboards and shelving. You will also focus on the art of formulating technical drawings and understanding plans.You can look forward to the chance to develop enterprise skills and take part in on the job training opportunities.This Study Programme will include English and Maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.
You will need a minimum of five GCSEs at C grades or equivalent, including Maths and English. Students may be able to progress from Level 2 vocationally related programmes.
You will learn through practical sessions in our workshops and assessment will be through written work and online tests.
Additional expenses to consider include commodities at approx. £45.If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials. For adult learners (over 19) financial support towards the costs of your Study Programme may be available. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such as travel, equipment and childcare.
