Sport and Outdoor Education BTEC Level 3 at QE Academy Trust

Course description

The BTEC National Award is a two year course that is an alternative to A Levels. You are assessed throughout the course via practical and written assignments. The practical element of the course involves a wide range of outdoor activities. It is a vocational course which has no exams and is assessed through 100% Coursework (Practical and Written Assessments)

- Practically you will cover the following areas:
- Climbing
- Hill Walking / Navigation
- Surfing
- Mountain Biking
- White Water Kayaking
- Surf Kayaking
- Sea Kayaking
- Canoeing

Financial information

Please note that a small charge is made for climbing when using private walls. The cost of the Scotland residential is not covered, this is usually £260, all equipment and food is included.
