Level 2 Specialist/Level 3 National in Fashion and Clothing at James Calvert Spence College

Course description

At both Level 2 and 3 of this course, the students will develop their fashion design and manufacturing skills. Students will develop their theoretical knowledge of professional techniques and process used to create designs and garments and apply this within a practical setting.

An example of the unit’s covered within both the Level 2 and Level 3 courses include;
* Working with fashion design briefs.
* Pattern drafting and construction
* Fashion design ideas
* Hand and machine manufacturing skills
* Fashion marketing and promotion

Entry requirements

This is a relatively new course to JCSC and students are therefore not expected to have any prior knowledge of the subject area, however a keen interest in fashion design or clothing is essential.
