Motor Vehicle Level 3 at East Kent College
Perfect if you want to learn advanced skills in diagnosis and repair and gain employment in the motor vehicle industry.
You’ll learn how to repair a broad range of vehicle systems using the latest computer-aided diagnosis and scanning equipment and hybrid vehicle training rigs in our well equipped workshops. As well as practical skills you will gain experience in agreeing customer needs and other employability skills.
You can look forward to the opportunity to carry out diagnostics on a range of modern vehicles. You will take part in trips to relevant automotive locations like Delphi and Mercedes-Benz World and gain insight into the industry with guest speakers from local specialist businesses.
This Study Programme will include English and Maths at an appropriate level, and it will support the development of skills towards employability and suitability to progress onto the next level of study.
You will need a minimum of five GCSEs at C grades or equivalent, including maths and English. Students may be able to progress from a Level 2 vocationally related programme.
You will learn through practical sessions in our workshops and assessment will be through demonstration of competence, written assignment work and online tests.

If you are 16-18yrs old at the start of the Study Programme, it will be free. There may be additional payments required for trips, visits and other materials. For adult learners (over 19) financial support towards the costs of your Study Programme may be available. Eligible students may be able to get help with course related costs such as travel, equipment and childcare.
