Psychology A-Level at St Mark's West Essex Catholic School
Psychology is the study of the mind. By looking at key approaches to this very broad and exciting area of study we consider issues such as memory, obedience, repression, nature vs. nurture, gender, aggression and many more engaging topics. By using key studies from the last 50 years students are able to interpret and evaluate their usefulness for today as well as carrying out their own research to find answers to important questions such as ‘Why do we do what our friends do? Or ‘How reliable is an eyewitness testimony’ or ‘Do dreams have meanings?’ Students can expect to be surprised and enlightened as well as prepared.
