It is suitable for au pairs, nannies, child minders, nursery and pre-school workers, sport and leisure staff, crèche leaders, parents and any persons responsible for the welfare of children. The Paediatric First Aid training course is recognised by Ofsted and includes the requirements of the appointed person in the workplace.
The Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage is a document published by The Department for Education and applies to Early Years childcare. The Statutory Framework states that ‘at least one person who has a current paediatric first aid certificate must be on the premises at all times when children are present. There must be at least one person on outings who has a current paediatric first aid certificate’.
